Tips for Throwing the Best End of Summer Bash!

Sunny days and long nights are coming to an end! To end it all with a bang, pick the perfect theme and give your kiddos one last summer memory that they will never forget! Whether it is a movie night, poolside hangout, or s'mores by the fire - you can’t go wrong. My favorite end of summer party inspiration are these cutie beach balls that I found with bright colors. I loved the thought of mixing the bright pinks with the different shades of orange and blue, and I ran with it from there! If you choose something that sparks your interest, you can create a color scheme and décor that ties it all together. For example, a plate or napkin that you love. Find something that makes you giddy and excited to center your party around, and it will give your event a custom and professional feel.

To start the planning process, lock down the perfect venue. It does not have to be anything crazy. Backyard parties are the best and can create a warm and inviting vibe for your guests. Choose a time of day that is nice, relaxing, and not too hot (Impossible in Pheonix, I know)! You want your guests to feel comfortable and excited for everything to be outside. For this event, I found an indoor space to try to keep cool from the summer heat. We all know what Arizona can be like at the end of the summer. It was open and had lots of room for all of my ideas while still keeping everything central so that it looked complete.

Next, brainstorm all of the things that are important to you to have at the party. It is always a priority for me to give the kids some kind of activity. Whether it is a craft, a bounce house, water toys, or just games to play - they will be happiest when they are busy! Think pool floaties, slip n’ slides, or even an awesome water slide from our friends at Inflate Forty Eight!

It is important to make sure that you incorporate your inspiration and design throughout all of the party details. Everything should tie together - from the invite to the party favors. A great way to include all of the details is to print signage that coordinates with your theme. I love coming up with cute names for the food and drinks and having unique phrases or sayings scattered throughout that tie back to my inspiration. You could also create an event logo that could be put on a backdrop for photos, napkins, or even some “merch” to give away as favors. For the kids, some cute summer cups with your party logo would be a great touch.

Our favorite way to make your design & vision come to life - BALLOONS! Our Grab & Go garlands are the perfect way to pair the colors from your inspiration to the event decor. Regardless of how much or little, everyone will love the chance to get together and celebrate the end of the summer together. You got this!!
